Enrolment

ELCP follows the NSW Public School calendar with four 10 week terms during the year. The first term begins at the end of January and the last term finishes in mid December.  Children are offered either 3 or 2 day enrolments, and in 2024 we are not offering 5 day positions.


Our classes attend the following days:

  • 3 days: Monday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Friday
  • 2 days: Monday & Tuesday OR Thursday & Friday

Children going to school the following year given priority for our 3 day group, and 3 year olds attend Thursday & Friday.


Enrolment offers are sent mid-year for the next year's intake in the following order:

  1. Currently enrolled children

   2. Children on waitlist who meet priority access requirements of NSW Department of Education

  • 4 year olds not enrolled or registered at a school
  • 3 year olds who:
  • from a low income family (eg Health Care Card)
  • have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • diagnosed with disability or additional needs
  • have English language needs
  • Children over 3 years at risk of significant harm (child protection)

  3. Sibling of a previous or currently enrolled child

  4. Date of application


Mid-year vacancies are filled from our waitlist following the criteria outlined above, and children must have turned 3 years old prior to commencing in a classroom.


Waitlist Application

To place your child’s name on our Waitlist, please:

  1. Download and complete the Waiting List Application form and return to the Preschool (via email) along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport. 
  2. Pay The non-refundable Waitlist Fee ($50 inc GST) can be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer to the following account:

Upon receiving all 3 application items, your child will be waitlisted for a position at our Preschool.


When applying, please include any reports from speech therapists, OTs, or any other allied health professionals that are currently or have supported your child.  This information assists our teaching staff to create an inclusive environment which accommodates all our children's needs.  Please also include information relating to Concession Cards, or any other priority criteria listed above.

Schedule of Fees

East Lindfield Community Preschool is a community based, non-profit Preschool. The fees are reviewed regularly by the Management Committee and take into account budgetary requirements and government funding. The Management Committee reserves the right to vary fees at any time during the year with 4 term weeks notice.


SCHEDULE OF FEES

Waiting List Fee $50

Non-refundable fee to be included on the waiting list.


2024 Daily Fees

Children who are 3 years old as at 31 July 2023 = $79/day

Children who are 4 years old as at 31 July 2023 = $74/day

Please note, your child's fee band will apply for the duration of the calendar year. If your child is entitled to a subsidised fee (for example, families with Government Concession Cards), please contact the Preschool Director.


Equipment & Incursion Levy $105/term

Charged in the first week of each term.


Holding Deposit $500

Charged at confirmation of enrolment and refunded at the end of your child's time at Preschool provided 4 term weeks notice is given.


Enrolment fee  $70/child

Non-refundable levy to be paid when accepting a position at ELCP.


Working bee levy $150/family

This is payable in lieu of volunteering (i) at a Preschool working bee or (ii) in another capacity for the Preschool eg committee or library.


NSW Fee Relief 2024  $4220/year

For families who nominate ELCP as their location for fee relief, this fee reduction will be applied to your invoice each Term at a rate of $102.93 per week.

Under the Public Health Act 2010, the only people who can be enrolled in childcare and Preschool are those who have an approved form that shows that they are:

  • fully immunised for their age, OR
  • are on a catch-up schedule, OR
  • have a medical reason not to be immunised.
